CpmFetch is designed to be easily added into new code. I want to encourage people to develop and release modules to use CpmFetch in portals, forums, etc. To support this I have developed a sort of non-binding agreement between myself and 3rd party developers.
What I will do for developers:
(Starting with CpmFetch 2.0)
- Provide an easy way to check the installed CpmFetch version
- Will deprecate functions over two full stable releases
- Debug mode will announce deprecated function use
- Will not change parameter orders (CpmFetch 2.0 on)
- How to's on accessing CpmFetch object methods
- How to's on using the CpmFetch config file
- Provide a directory on CpmFetch's web site listing 3rd party modules
What I hope developers will do for me:
- Give credit for CpmFetch
- Do not bundle CpmFetch, but refer users to the CpmFetch web site
- Check to make sure the current stable version works for them
I will also give whatever help I can to developers of 3rd party modules.
